Took a minicab to the El Gouna bus stations which (as expected ) had the Go buses and (as expected) they had none going to Aswan. Across the street was Superjet who also had no Aswan buses but did have one going to Luxor at 8.35am for 45 LE. We walked a further km or so further and found the Egyptian bus station. We established that they did have a bus going to Aswan and that it left at 10.30am. We were not able to buy tickets as those you had to get on the bus! - so pretty much defeating the purpose of our little trip to Sigala - the furthest end of Hurgharda.
Having come this far, we decided to take a walk round the town. Not much to see so we went down to the sea. We found what we thought was a public beach but before long a man arrived asking for tickets, so we left (we hadn't planned to swim anyway), taking a minibus (or in fact two minibuses) back to our hotel.
When we got back, we had some lunch and then it was time for the children to have their wind surfing lessons. Although the lessons were fairly short, both Lauren and guy caught on very quickly and thoroughly enjoyed going out on the water.
We had a relaxed afternoon including a game of volleyball (the hotel had lost/broken their ball, so we used the dutch boys' ball which also sprung a leak - eventually had to make do with a soft one.
That evening we returned to El Joker - the seafood restaurant - and had an early night (children went up to play pool again).
